Korenix New JetWave series Shows Incomparable Performance for Outdoor and Industrial Wireless Applications

Korenix have previously released the latest outdoor field test result of JetWave 2810 outdoor wireless AP. The JetWave 2810 is equipped with IEEE 802.11n TWO Transmit TWO Receive (2T2R) MIMO technology, the latest test results proved that the JetWave 2800 + JWA-5G-23dBi-DP antenna can reach 120~140Mbps at 5KM distance and 35~90Mbps at 17KM distance. With the outstanding performance, it is the ideal solution for long distance 100Mbps "Air-Fiber" backhaul.

The test combination is based on 2 JetWave 2810 and JWA-5G-23dBi-DP antenna. The JWA-5G-23dBi antenna is a 2T2R MIMO antenna, it supports dual polarization, dual gain, Multi-In Multi-Out and -40~80℃ operating temperature range. With the dual polarization antenna, the transmission power can be increased via multiple power amplifiers, thus the performance is double than Single-In Single-Out (SISO) solution.

The long-distance field test starts from Wushi Harbour to 2 different remote locations, one is approximately 5KM in distance and the other is approximately 17KM. The wireless band is based on 802.11n HT40 channel, this channel supports best throughput and is better suited than all other bands and has performed perfectly in the Korenix outdoor field test.

The below tables illustrate the test result and the figures shown are both in TCP and UDP transportation modes respectively in 5KM (Table 1) and 17KM (Table 2) distance 

With the outstanding performance, results have been achieved up to 100Mbps in terms of distance with ease. This is known as the "Air-Fiber" solution, high bandwidth directional communication can be built between the 2 buildings without any physical fiber construction. This has improved performance in Train-to-Ground application; a collected IP video record allows data information from a train to be transmitted to the train station within an extremely short period of time.
